ABC is one of the largest publishers of educational materials in Jordan. Their target audience ranges from elementary children all the way to post graduate students. In a tough industry, what sets their products apart is the perceived quality of their products and designs that reflect the status-quo of their customers. In short, the quality of design directly impacts their bottom line.
XOTOX was contacted by ABC before the launch of their new products for the beginning of the year. In order to meet ABC’s challenge, XOTOX began by carefully studying ABC’s market. We analyzed ABC’s previous catalog, determining which designs were successful and which were not. To test this theoretical information, we did a field study, recording statistics from schools and universities by surveying teachers and students. We also visited book shops and other retailers to see which designs were the most popular and effective and ensure the best results. Based upon our research and observations we were able to successfully create a wide array of designs which met and exceeded the expectations of ABC.
To finish this project on time, several meetings between ABC Managers and XOTOX Staff took place. To understand each designs needs and the over all campaign, our staff in essence became the staff of ABC. Frequent feedback from ABC ensured that the design process flew by smoothly, with changes being made within hours. Our designers competed against each other to see who’d have the most approved designs. We helped ABC meet their deadline, and exceeded their expectations with the quality of our design work.
